The Plan of Salvation

Hey everyone. I shared with you in the first post about my personal testimony, but I wanted to give all of you your very own opportunity to build your own testimony in Christ. Now, grab a cup of coffee and join in on this exciting topic with me!

First of all, what is a testimony and what is the purpose? To me, this is your life story; the story of how you came to know Christ and how you have grown closer to Him in your suffering.  The purpose of your testimony is so that you can easily share your story of your relationship with Christ. There isn’t a specific way to share this, it is all on how you have felt lead to share. Now, let’s get to it.

The very fact that you are alive is a testimony in itself. You are a miracle and you matter. But, just because you are alive does not mean that you have Jesus as your own. I promise, my goal is not to cause doubt in your life through this post, but only to provide assurance to you that you have Jesus as your own and that you can share Him.

Accepting Jesus is generally a very easy, or a very tough change in one’s life. It causes change, and for most that is a very hard pill to swallow. Once you do it, though, you will never want to undo the change. Romans 10:13 says, “For all who call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Jesus Christ died for you, and calling out to Him is what you must do in order to initiate the change. Now, you have Jesus as your own, but we can’t stay at this stand-still, stagnant relationship. It should always be a goal for a lover and follower of Jesus to be closer to Him, for we can never be too close. We do this by diving into the word of God each day, dedicating our lives to obedience in Jesus’ word. A great start to this finding a simple daily scripture to pick apart or begin a Bible study book.

This was a very simple explanation of how to begin your testimony. There is much more to it. I don’t think we could ever cover every piece of information if we talked about it for an eternity. I pray that this impacts someone. If you are not yet a Christian, I encourage you to follow the scripture path I am going to attach below. I went through this journey soon after I accepted Jesus and it made a difference. It will help you to see the love of Jesus and know that He is the one that will never fail you. It doesn’t mean you won’t struggle, but Christ will always be there to help you.

I hope that you are encouraged to build your testimony!

Love, Sam

Read each one of these a few times and honestly examine your life.

Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God.”
We all sin. It is a fact. Keep reading for some good news.

Romans 6:23: “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The cost of our sin is eternal death, but Jesus died for our sins. Through that, we are able to live for eternity.

John 3:3: “In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the Kingdom of God unless he is born again through me.”
We have the gift of Jesus Christ, but no works will help us to receive that gift. It is only through Jesus, dying to our worldly lives and coming alive to the lifestyle of living for Jesus with all that we have.

John 14:6: “Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Romans 10:9-10: “That if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”

John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son so that we may not perish, but have eternal life.”
